Kirsty May Hall completed her H.N.Dip.F.A. in 1997 at Witswaterand Technikon, Gauteng, South Africa, wherein she majored in both painting and sculpture. After studying Fine Art, Kirsty moved into the Botswana bushveld where she focused her attention on wildlife rehabilitation. Her primary interest lay in the rehabilitation, rearing and monitoring of many bird species.

After returning to South Africa, Kirsty began focusing on painting the deep love she has for the birds she sees around her. ...More...
Kirsty considers birds as living symbols of freedom, joy, hope and courage. Sometimes her paintings are true to nature in their depiction and sometimes the paintings are of many birds in fantastical situations.
