Dr. Paul Gruner is a dentist and professional photographer. His passion for the oceans, wildlife and world travel allows him to capture breathtaking scenes to share with others. By the time he was learning to ride a bicycle, Paul had begun his passion for the undersea world. His parents had introduced him to diving when he was only nine years of age with a homemade air buoy. He credits his years of collecting tropical fish with the ability to capture the personalities of his many underwater subjects. His friends often refer to him as the “fish whisperer”. His photography expresses vibrant colors seldom seen in the underwater world. Paul’s love of photography has taken him to many different parts of the Paul’s underwater travels include the Bahamas, Honduras, Curacao, Mexico, Tahiti, Rangiora, Bora Bora, Indonesia, Cuba, Maldives, Red Sea, Palau, Cocos Island, Australia, Thailand, Myanmar, and Fiji. He has also traveled extensively throughout Africa to photograph wildlife particularly in Botswana, Rwanda, Namibia and Tanzania.
Paul is the father of two children, which share his passion for marine life. He has a dental practice in both Palm Beach Gardens and Jupiter Florida. If he isn’t fixing teeth you may find him in some remote part of the world with a camera in hand.
