Remos Chiguware
Remos was born in Zimbabwe in 1972 into a family of seven. He is from the Shona tribe. He started sculpting in 2001 under the tutelage of Lovemore Bonjisi and Washington Musonza. He started out working in softer stone and then advanced to the harder materials like springstone and verdite. Predominately an abstract artist, in recent times he started creating birds in stone. “I’m always intrigued by colonies of birds” says Remos. “So I ventured into creating some of these scenes that I have witnessed in the wild.”
